LTG Infra to improve the efficiency of railway traffic control processes and activity accounting
LTG Infra, which manages the country’s railway network and takes care of its modernization and development, has signed a contract for the purchase, installation, and maintenance services of a new, more efficient, and safer railway station control tool. The public procurement announced in the middle of 2022 was completed by signing a contract with the Polish IT company Petrosoft.pl Technologie Informatyczne Sp. z o. o. The railway station control tool has been designed for control of daily operations, traffic planning and accounting in the stations. The modern station operations’ control tool will enable the LTG Infra traffic management team to optimally operate the railway station infrastructure.
“The new station control tool will ensure greater railway traffic safety, faster and automatic exchange of traffic data. These changes will help the railway traffic management team to work in a more efficient and modern way,” Tomas Jonikaitis, Head of Traffic Management at LTG Infra, emphasizes the importance of the new station control tool.
According to T. Jonikaitis, this public procurement, successfully completed by signing the contract with the experienced company from the neighbouring country, is a great achievement. The public procurement was carried out in a transparent manner, the confidentiality of information was ensured, and the best offer was chosen by a team of experts, allowing the most efficient use of the company’s funds for railway traffic management.
Petrosoft.pl Technologie Informatyczne Sp. z o.o. has been developing, installing, and maintaining control systems for railways, warehouses, and laboratories for more than 20 years. The company also has experience in the implementation of customer and company management and accounting systems; well-known companies such as Lotos, Kolej, GoodYear, PolWax, Trans-Wiert and others are among its customers.
The new station control tool will be implemented in Lithuania for 12 months, then it will be tested for another 4 months.
