Arūnas Rumskas
Acting CEO of Lietuvos geležinkeliai since 11 April 2026
Arūnas Rumskas is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Lietuvos geležinkeliai.
Previous professional experience
A. Rumskas is an experienced finance manager and an expert in processes and efficiency. Prior to joining AB Lietuvos geležinkeliai, for five years he worked at the PZU Group of companies in the Baltics as a member of the Boards and CFO, as well as head of the company PZU Lietuva gyvybės draudimas. Previously, Mr Rumskas had spent 19 years with the international Aviva Group, including 9 years in Poland, where he had been Chief Operating Officer and Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Aviva Polska Group, and had headed the Group's centre of excellence, which provided expert financial services to Aviva Group companies worldwide.

The Board of Directors of AB Lietuvos geležinkeliai is a collegial management body set out in the Company’s Articles of Association, consisting of 7 members. The members of the Board shall be elected by the General Meeting of Shareholders for a 4-year term of office in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania.
The Company’s Board consists of 7 members, 5 of whom are independent and 2 delegated representatives of the shareholder.
Independent members of the Board shall be elected in accordance with the Description of the Selection of Candidates to the Board of Directors of a State-owned Enterprise or a Municipal Enterprise and of Candidates to the Collegial Supervisory or Management Body Elected by the General Meeting of Shareholders of a State-owned Enterprise or a Municipal Enterprise (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Description of the Selection’), as approved by the Resolution No. 631 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania dated 17 June 2015 (as subsequently amended). The composition of the Board is subject to the provisions of Description of the Selection concerning the diversity of competences of the members of the Board, the eligibility requirements for general and specific requirements.
In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Reconciliation of Public and Private Interests of the Republic of Lithuania, members of the Board shall submit declarations of private interests to the Register of Private Interests in accordance with the procedure laid down by the Chief Official Ethics Commission https://pinreg.vtek.lt/app/.
None of the members of the Board holds shares in companies belonging to the AB Lietuvos geležinkeliai group of companies.

The remuneration of members of the Board shall be determined in accordance with the Order No. 3-269 of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania of 28 July 2025 ‘On the remuneration of the members of the Board of Directors and the members of the Committees of the joint-stock company Lietuvos geležinkeliai’. The procedure for payment to members of the Board of Directors and the committees of the joint stock company Lietuvos geležinkeliai for their activities in these bodies shall be determined by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania No 1092 ‘On the approval of the description of the procedure for the payment of remuneration to members of the collegial bodies of state-owned enterprises and municipally-owned enterprises and the civil liability insurance for members of the collegial bodies of state-owned enterprises and municipally-owned enterprises’ of 5 August 2022 and by the agreements on the activities of the members of these bodies.
The Republic of Lithuania is a shareholder of AB Lietuvos geležinkeliai, which owns 100 percent of the shares. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania exercises the rights and obligations of a shareholder.
